With this ever changing time around the COVID-19 / Coronavirus I want to share with you how Rose Golde Beauty + The Extension Studio is navigating this ever changing dynamic situation. Both our Health + Safety, and the Health + Safety of our community is and always will be the top priority.
Guys, how many COVID-19 Coronavirus emails do you think you’ve gotten by now? I know I’ve been getting updates from companies I didn’t even know had my email address! I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry right?
This is not something I EVER imagined having to deal with in life, or in business ~ but here we are. So, I want to give you peace of mind about visiting The Studio over the next few weeks. I don’t want to come to you as just another business bombarding your inbox, but as your Stylist - who you spend hours with on a regular basis, who cares about you, your health and your family.
I’ve been googling like a man woman - frequenting sites like State of Nevada, Washoe County Health Department, NV State Board of Cosmetology, City of Sparks, the CDC and have been in direct contact with the Sierra Salon Suites building owner to get the most current information about keeping us both safe during this uncharted time.
None of these departments have recommended nor mandated the closure of beauty salons, 1:1 Client & Service Provider appointments, or Private Business. Now, more than ever I feel SO blessed that our time together in The Studio is one on one and we aren’t in a Public space.
In addition to current industry standard level of cleaning & sanitization on all equipment + surfaces using hospital grade disinfectant before / after each appointment; I am taking additional precautions to sanitize door handles, light switches, salon chairs, stations, phones for checking out, and frequently touched surfaces before and after your appointment.
The Sierra Salon Suites building has increased the amount of times the cleaning staff is coming in to sanitize and clean the common areas like the lobby and restrooms.
The Nevada State Board of Cosmetology will continue making its rounds, as usual, ensuring each Stylist is upholding all sanitization laws.
The Suites have recommended that all guests remain in your car until your appointment time - skip waiting in the lobby all together, and come on back to The Studio directly.
To ensure health and safety we must keep our appointments one on one. Please come to your appointment alone.
When you come into The Studio you’ll be greeted with the aroma of Lemon Scented Bleach disinfectant where we will promptly wash our hands, together - and sanitize our phones!
Complementary Food & Refreshments will be put on pause at this time as an EXTRA precaution.
In addition to being ever mindful the appointment cancellation fee will be waived if you have: a compromised immune system, are showing any symptoms of illness such as: runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat, or any flu/cold like symptoms, have been in contact with anyone having these symptoms, have traveled within 2 weeks of your appointment, or otherwise feel uncomfortable and choose to practice complete social distancing. If any of these apply to you, I’d be happy to accommodate you with a new appointment time for a later date - PLEASE reach out.
It is my commitment to stay current on this ever changing situation, and know that at any moment things may change. I vow to respond immediately & accordingly. I am healthy + happy and will remain open my during normal business hours . My hope is that this finds you in good spirits and good health as well! Health + Safety are the MAIN priority. It is my pleasure to continue serving you during this dynamic situation and hope that the Rose Golde Extension Studio can still be a place of peace, relaxation and a moment of self care for you.
xo babes~

N O V E M B E R ~ 2019
November 2019 was for sure one that only happens as a result of saying YES a bunch of times. I’m sharing all the things - Personal and Professional on this month’s blog! So if you’re a personal friend or a client of Rose Golde Beauty there is something in it for you!
Hi. It’s been a minute hasn’t it.
Thank goodness for IG live videos, otherwise I would REALY feel like I haven’t seen you in forever!
November 2019 will most likely go down as the BEST month EVER because so many amazing & life altering moments happened! (It will also go down as a whirlwind because your girl was RUNNIN’! #praisebetocoffee) But then again, we are literally smack dab in the middle of Sagittarius Season, so what else did we think would happen?!
I remember middle of the summer when I was saying YES to all these plans, and writing them on the Calendar for November. My Man and I stood back and looked, in writing, all the things we had committed to doing - all FUN GOOD THINGS. But WHOA. We said, “okay November is FULL!”
There was a moment where I started to feel so much self induced guilt when I realized that even with batching & planning - I wasn’t going to be able to put up a weekly Blog post in November. Which has been important to me, to keep doing consistently. But, it was like - something has got to give, and with some self grace I pushed the pause button, so I could push the play button in another area!
{So, my goal is that you read this as one long run on sentence, because I really want you experience how November felt!} Ready? Breathe in, and - GO.
We went to Hawaii for over 10 days, which included lots of hiking and a Mountain Top Waterfall Engagement!!! (totally amazing!) Then we took a red eye home and celebrated My Man’s birthday and then hopped IMMEDIATELY back into work. Insert five 10-12 hour days in the Studio before packing up, flying out to Laguna Beach for a week for my final Quarterly Mastermind Event - then stay for BMSCON4 as a Platform Artist, race home and sleep for 15 hours solid so we could load the car up and RoadTrip Adventure my Birthday up to Oregon for Thanksgiving with my family!
WHOA right? It was such an AMAZING month and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I feel so much gratitude for all the opportunities that I was able to say “YES” to.
I feel like as I sit down and write this, snuggled up with my pups and a warm cup of coffee and Harry Potter in the background, I’m finally slowing down and processing November. (Just in time to wrap up a decade and Goal Set + Vision Plan for going into a new one in 2020)
November taught me just how BIG my capacity is. I know I’m not alone in forgetting just how much I can do - until I actually am put to the test and have to DO IT. How many times in our lives do we actually impress our selves!? Probably a LOT if we take a minute to think of the amount you can accomplish when it’s time to #getshitdone
I haven’t tackled my 2020 goals yet - I always take the week between Christmas and New Years to step away from working IN my business, and work ON my business and decide how to make it the best it can be for my guests.
Let’s start brain storming on things that we can accomplish, and impress our own damn selves going into the next year.
My books are open for 2020 to Extension Guests! To schedule a phone consultation and reserve an appointment for January. Click HERE and take the Hair Questionnaire
Say goodbye to that overwhelm and hello to an elevated customer experience! It has been AMAZING to implement the Extensions Questionnaire + Phone Consultation for both myself as a solopreneur and for YOU as a guest wanting a great booking experience . It feels good to have the opportunity to talk to your Stylist and hear their voice especially when you know you have a personalized game plan to achieve your #hairgoals.
At first, having potential clients complete a ‘digital consultation’ / ‘hair questionnaire’ in order to reserve a ‘phone consultation’ - - seemed UNHEARD OF. Honestly there wasn’t anyone I personally knew in the Beauty Industry doing anything like that. It was completely new to me. So I know it has to be completely new to you too!
There is no denying that Social Media has changed the Beauty Industry, and with that, the way we communicate to you and how you communicate to us. It’s been amazing on so many levels, but here is one thing that has become a current standard I see with booking via social media.
Messages + DM
This is a place where things can quickly become a back and forth of hair questions, photos, screenshots, pricing, length of appointment, and then, the real hard part - going back and forth about appointment times. I’m telling you what- that ends up taking so much TIME and it’s always at random hours of the day…NEVER are we DMing people during standard business hours. (like really, why is it always at the most random times?!!)

The NBR Application or Digital Pre-Consult, which I talk about in great detail HERE and why it’s so important - has been a GAME CHANGER for both of us because it allows us to move into a highly productive phone conversation.
Which is CELEBRATION for both of us! So that ‘application’ / ‘hair history form’ / ‘hair questionnaire’ & ‘phone consultation’ … is now one of my FAVORITE things about my client experience.
The information you provide is framework for your Phone Consultation. Which is where we get to have a scheduled 1:1 conversation and hear each others voices while we work together to create plans for your dream hair, have ALL your questions are answered, discuss your new install estimate, give a quote on maintenance + pricing, talk about the longevity of extension hair, and if you’re a good fit for NBR and Rose Golde Beauty - then we will talk about available appointments!
It’s luxurious and there is really no going back! I am SO happy that I get to offer that experience to you! It’s ahead of the curve, cutting edge and it’s focus is YOU, and sometimes doing something that’s out of the norm - is a reallllly good thing!
I hope you are always choosing businesses who are offering you new + innovative perspectives to streamline and elevate your customer experience!

Why so much Education?
Why so much Education? How hard can it be? Haven’t you learned everything already? You’re traveling down there again? - I get these questions A LOT and wanted to shed some light on the answers and share them with you!
We’ve talked before about my nerd level excitement and dedication to continued education over on this previous blog post so you already know a little bit about it, but I wanted to dive deeper since I’m about ready to head out again for another trip to Southern California.
On Wednesday I leave for an NBR Mastermind Event. It’s a 2 day event where we learn continued education in the NBR Method and also talk about the 3rd Quarter of business with other entrepreneurs - basically a hair nerd convention geeking out over NBR transformations and personal growth. lol but for reals.
These events are held every quarter, in addition to 2 NBR Hands on Intensive classes. -small group geeking out over learning MORE stuff. :P
All these classes are not mandatory for those us in Mastermind to go to, but they are provided and are tailored each time to match where we are in our education and are offered for everyone in the continuing education program.
This will be my 5th time this year that I fly out for Education. I’ve gone to both of my Hands on Intensive classes, and this will be my 3rd time going out for a Quarterly Event.
At one point in my mind - the thought of that seemed outrageous - in SO many ways.
Now, I am so beyond committed to offering the best Hand Tied Hair Extension service I possibly can, because I know the impact it is having on the way women feel about themselves!
I want to master that color blend, for the stitching to be clean and neat, for the beadwork to be comfortable and for you to feel SO good that even you are excited for the camera to come out for after photos.
So I go spend time and money to put my self in a room where I can learn from the creator of the method her lead trainer and their education team.
I’m always impressed with the education that they offer - each time it gets tailored more and more to what we need as students. I’m beyond stoked that this event there are break out sessions and we get to go work with small groups and trainers on the areas we personally asked to learn more about.
I MEAN COME ON! How rad is that? It’s not a “sit here and learn this” type event. It’s hands on training with small groups on the exact topics we are needing extra work in.
I am dedicated to offering my clients the best service I can possibly provide. It’s in part because I want to offer my best work at all times as my own personal standard and love for the art, but right there with that I want you to know that when you invest in your self with hair extensions - you know that I am investing in my education and craft so you can have the BEST experience possible.
I am a forever student and always willing to put my self in situations to continue my education in this industry so that you are always having an amazing experience!
For you own hair transformation share you hair history with me here
xoxo~
Did I just say that out loud?
“OMG! I’ve been blogging for a solid year?! Am I a BLOGGER?!?!”
Sounded funny when I said it out loud, in actual words, too!
When I first started my brand & business I was working with a Graphic Designer on the Rose Golde website. He was showing me that I could Blog and share Videos from the platform I was using. I vividly remember telling him, “Oh, I won’t need that - I’m not a Blogger. I have a Beauty Business.”
My attitude was more like, I just need a business website buddy - with pictures and a bio - that just sits on the internet in case someone needs to click on it.

My attitude was more like, I just need a business website buddy - with pictures and a bio - that just sits on the internet in case someone needs to click on it.
Then - like 2 years ago, I found myself wanting to share more with my clients. More than what we could cover in a Salon Appointment. I mean after all - you (and your hair) spend more time outside of the salon then you do in it. So why are we just left to talking hair + beauty during your appointment?
Then I thought - I could send out informational emails & video tutorials between appointments to share more! Businesses do that all the time! ~Flashes to anytime I get an email and I think it’s spammy, so I delete it. ~ Okay so maybe not emails.
ME: “I wish there was a way to write down educational info and share video tutorials that people could come online and read if & when they want to.”
LIGHT BULB MOMENT: WRITE A BLOG & HOST VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE!!
FEAR: NO! NOT A BLOG!! DO NOT START A YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!
I decided I should reach out to a blogger, like one who does it as their primary job - to have coffee & ‘talk shop’, you know - do a little recon.
We sat down and quickly started talking about the PROS / CONS of blogging - and what it really is…work.
Now she was encouraging, because that is her whole M.O. and she did tell me if I wanted to try it I should just jump in and start. But the thing I remember most about our talk, is when she told me she HATES it when girls call themselves Bloggers on social media when they aren’t doing the work of REAL BLOGGERS. (Like, AS IF!)
That’s EXACTLY what my FEAR wanted to hear - Self Preservation baby, you’re not a REAL BLOGGER or YOUTUBER - So, you obviously shouldn’t do it, that way people can’t talk shit about you!!
I’m a really good self negotiator - so I told my fear, I would start my blog and create video tutorials- but I wouldn’t tell anyone I was doing it, or hashtag it, or call myself a blogger, or say I made videos!
(Insert LOTS of research on how to use the Blog feature of my website, SEVERAL late nights after work watching video making tutorials, and then even more hours spent writing, recording, editing, and uploading)
I spend A LOT of TIME, that truthfully could easily be spent doing something deemed ‘more fun’ - and I quickly realized the WORK she spoke of…but passionate to share more I kept coming back to my computer week after week!
I blogged & made videos consistently, - and silently…for like, 6+ months.
Yes, I was creating content for my clients, but no - you didn’t have the slightest clue that you were getting this added value because I was keeping it on the hush-hush.
Clients were asking me the same questions over and over like; When should I book a deep condition and what one should I do? How do you braid your hair like that? What eyeshadow palette do you like? What is NBR? — these were all questions that I had POSTED answers to.
It was then that I decided my FEAR was NOT as powerful as my desire to give added value to my clients! PLUS I was putting too much work into creating these resources to NOT share it with you!
So I went all in, I started sharing my blog posts and videos in my stories, started sharing the link on my facebook page and most importantly letting my clients know that I had a whole video tutorial on that exact topic uploaded for them!
When clients would come in for their appointment and start talking about how they started using a flat iron to curl their hair now “just like in the video” I was SO happy you were enjoying and UTILIZING the information!
Or when you read the blog about moving into Package Services and away from an A la Cart Menu as a way to stop the frustration & headache with Online Booking… and it made that switch SO seamless for both of us.
Now A YEAR in, you can find weekly new blogs on all things Beauty with a touch of Lifestyle here and there! AND I’m happily posting about it in my stories, sharing it openly on facebook for all to see, uploading video tutorials to YouTube and hashtagging #beautyblogger whenever the mood strikes!
Just over a year ago if you were to ask me if I’d ever create my own videos or write blog posts - It would have been a HARD NO. If you would have flipped it around and asked me if I wanted to continue to offer value to my client’s - I would say HELL YES! But never would I have thought those things would go so hand in hand like they do.
My goals are to always to keep the health and integrity of your hair my number one priority in the salon, and for you to feel confident in your beauty & routines when you’re at home!
I’m PROUD to be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of incorporating Video + Blog into the Rose Golde Experience.
I’m REALLY proud NOT to say, “I’m a blogger” - BUT to say, “I have an amazing customer experience”! Really that’s where this whole thing started for me. Being my own boss, creating my own schedule, building a business that I have pride in, and offering a guest experience that I personally would enjoy to have.
So, I’m excited for all the future posts and videos to come. Everything gets better with time and experience ~ I love seeing the growth, it really is beautiful!
Next week I’ll be sharing some REALLY BIG NEWS about the GROWTH going on inside of Rose Golde Beauty, so make sure you come back on Monday to read the new Blog Post, because you won’t want to miss out on what’s happening!
xoxo
Let's talk Luxury / At Home Hair Care Video Series
I am proud to offer a 5 part Video Series for At Home Care alongside my In Salon NBR Extension Services, and I hope you enjoy the added value that comes when choosing Rose Golde!
Video 5 is here! How To: Achieve a Smooth Flat Iron Finish for your NBR Hair Extensions
If you’re on Video 5, then you know what you’re about to learn! Soooo…
Let’s go beyond the Heat Protectant and Styling Tools in this video, and talk about the reason I wanted to create a Video Series for my clients.
I think it’s really important as your Extension Specialist - to show up for you!
Maybe you just invested $1,500 - $2,200 into a luxury service, where we could talk about your top quality, voluntarily donated, less silicone, custom colored, hand tied hair extensions~ that blend with your fresh new lived in color and, installed with a minimal damage method.
We could start talking about value there - but I think you already know that part by now. We’ve gone over it.
We’re actually going to get outside of the In Salon Appointment and talk about when you’re at home and taking care of your extensions for the first time!
Incorporating ANYTHING into your lifestyle and routine can seem a little intimidating - so I wanted to eliminate that fear with education!
That’s I decided to provided added value and create these At Home Care Videos, and it’s why you went home with all those products and tools!!
Not only do I want you to have an amazing In Salon Experience, I want you to feel REALLY confident taking care of your extensions and incorporating them into your every day life.
My goal is to set you up for success with taking care of your extensions, so you can be obsessed with your transformation and that feeling radiates into all aspects of your life!
I am proud to offer a 5 part video series alongside my NBR Extension Services, and I hope you enjoy the added value that comes when choosing Rose Golde.
I also share a lot of LIVE real time techniques and tricks on my blog and social media pages so make sure you’re staying current with me there!
